Former US Vice President Kamala Harris stated in New York on Friday that she is considering running for president in 2028, after losing to Donald Trump in the 2024 election.
«I'm thinking about it,» Harris responded directly when activist Al Sharpton asked if she would compete for the White House again in the next election cycle.
«I could do it,» noted the Democrat, who has been relatively out of the media spotlight after the change in the White House administration, though she clarified that she is still in a process of reflection.
Harris made these remarks at an event organized by the National Action Network (NAN) in New York, where she also reviewed her career in the Joe Biden administration and her vision for the current state of the country.
«I know what the job (of president) is and I know what it requires,» affirmed the former vice president, emphasizing that her office in the West Wing was just a few steps from the president's.
